Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for an Applications Development Analyst in Tallahassee, Florida. This role involves supporting the Application Services Office with the System of Engagement (SoE) in the development and deployment of cloud solutions and GIS support. The successful candidate will also be involved in various other activities as outlined within their primary job duties and tasks. Responsibilities: • Assist in supporting the Application Services Team with activities that explore and optimize existing processes, applications, legacy systems, databases, web interfaces, and/or hardware • Provide technical GIS support to the Central Office and Districts in the use of GIS web map services and ArcGIS Enterprise • Assist with the GIS System of Engagement (SoE) in the development and deployment of cloud solutions aimed at the integration of systems • Work with both internal and external customers to gather business requirements, develop deliverables, perform both database and data analysis • Provide technical support related to ArcGIS Online, ArcMap, ArcGIS PRO, ArcGIS Portal, software, and Server extensions and add-ons • Assist with the systems in the maintenance and upgrading of the product • Provide technical support to Central Office and Districts and the design and implementation of ArcGIS, ESRI WebApps, and software projects • Assist in the installation, development, and management of ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise Environments and ESRI desktop software • Perform other technical assignments needed to support Application Services, including Portal user account management, metadata collection and management. Requirements • Proficiency in Documentation is expected, ensuring clear and accurate records of all development processes. • Ability to provide Technical Support to resolve issues related to application development and deployment. • A strong understanding of Database Design is required, including the ability to develop and optimize database structures. • Experience in Collection Processes, including data collection, analysis, and interpretation. • Proven track record in Implementation of software applications within a business environment. • Proficient in JavaScript, with the ability to create efficient and effective code. • Experience in Optimization of applications, particularly in improving performance and functionality. • Strong Data Analysis skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable strategies. • Proficiency in Cloud Technologies, including the deployment and maintenance of cloud-based applications. • Knowledge of REST API, including the development and integration of RESTful services. • Experience in managing Deliverables, ensuring timely and quality output. • A degree in Computer Sciences or related field is required. • Experience in Deployments, particularly in deploying applications across various platforms. • Familiarity with Desktop Hardware, including the ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware-related issues. • Experience in creating Business Requirement Documents, outlining the needs and expectations of the business. • Knowledge of Computer Hardware, including the ability to troubleshoot and repair common hardware issues. • Proficiency in SQL Server, including the ability to create, manage, and optimize databases. • Experience in Transportation Services, particularly in relation to application development for this industry. • Proficiency in EXPRESS and API Development is expected, including the ability to develop efficient and effective APIs. • Knowledge of .NET Framework, including the ability to develop applications using this platform. • Ability to work with External Customers, demonstrating excellent communication and customer service skills. • Proficiency in Node.js, including the ability to develop efficient and effective applications using this platform. • Experience with Maps API, particularly in relation to the development and integration of location-based services.
