Reporting to the Commercial Director, the Application Development Manager is responsible for developing strategic initiatives across key product lines, target applications, and accounts, particularly in the vertical industries of water and wastewater (F&B, Oil and Gas, and Power), to support the differentiated sale of marketed products, improve margins, and add value to the sales process. This position is located in Bogotá and will be remote. It requires time for travel (40% of the month).

In this role, a typical day will look like:

-Develop an annual business plan using input from subsidiary sales teams to identify and develop specific marketing tactics and business action plans to achieve annual growth goals.

-Train and educate associates, customers, and channel partners on applications for assigned markets in order to position our products and services and resolve issues experienced by our customers.

-Assesses potential application of company products to meet customer needs pre and/or post-sales and prepares detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer products/applications/solutions in alignment with manufacturer stated specifications.  

-Creates detailed design and implementation specifications for complex products/applications/solutions.  

-Builds mini-applications with process simulation, often requiring rapid software modeling and/or product demo/training (at conferences, seminars, trade shows, or customer sites) for customer.

-May assist with optimizing products to meet customer needs and workflow requirements.

-Leverage knowledge of local regulations to align company resources and effectively capitalize on business opportunities to meet budget

The essential requirements of the job include:  

Professional in the areas of Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, Electronic Engineering or related fields.5 years of commercial sales experience handling commercial teamsTechnical knowledge in Industrial Processes.Experience working with Industrial Market..English B1.Excel Intermediate.
