Citibank, N.A. seeks an Applications Development Sr Programmer Analyst for its Irving, TX location.
Duties: Design, develop, and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes and consequences of design. Perform system design and specification development, program logic using Java and J2EE technologies including Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate Frameworks and flow-charting, testing, debugging, and documentation. Ensure programs meet standards and technical specifications, perform technical analysis and component delivery. Assist in providing necessary technical and functional documentation for IT to review and assess scope of the project and then provide final approval from the Operations perspective along with gathering proper approvals. Provide thorough understanding of requirements, impacted systems, and end-to-end flow of data (including back-end database) and evaluating architecture systems. Responsibility for software testing, the creation of test plans, and risk mitigation. Create migration processes where developed application changes and Data are migrated from Dev to System Integration Test (SIT), User Acceptance Test (UAT), and Production environments seamlessly. Create post-production monitoring plans to assure that the program works as planned and as tested. Prepare reports or correspondence concerning project specifications, activities, or status. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or a related field, and two (2) years of experience in the job offered, or in a related occupation. Two (2) years of experience must include: Performing system design and specification development using Java and J2EE technologies, including Java8, Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices, Hibernate frameworks and SQL database; Translating business requirements into technical specifications and maintaining and updating project documentation throughout the development cycle using JIRA; Maintaining domain-level comprehensive technology roadmaps in accordance with business priorities, risk appetite, and regulatory, risk, and compliance requirements; Developing RESTful APIs using Springboot for communication between the components and integrating with Oracle database using Spring Data JPA for seamless database operations; Debugging and troubleshooting code to identify and resolve issues efficiently and analyzing the Java application logs and incorporating Junit/Mockito frameworks for Unit and Integration testing; Tracking ongoing project issues and items through JIRA, and evaluating business processes, system processes, and industry standards; and Containerizing the application using Docker to facilitate deployment and scaling and performing continuous integration and deployment using Jenkins pipeline. 40 hrs./wk.
