Micron is seeking a Product Applications Engineer to team with Field Application Engineers (FAE) to provide world class customer field team support for qualification of Micron’s portfolio of Cloud and Data Center Solid State Drives (SSD.

You will be the product technical expert for our cloud/data center SSD portfolio and a primary contact for the Micron customer field team for product related support.

Job DescriptionBuild a collaborative relationship with the customer field team to ensure customer qualification successDebug customer issues working with the customer field team to accelerate new product qualificationsProvide internal status on customer qualification issuesProduct expert for features and functionality providing app notes and errata listsMaintain external product firmware portal and change lists for customer teamsPareto analysis of product issues to drive improvements in future products

Successful candidates for this position will have:

Good presentation skills and effective collaboration with team membersTeam player, ambitious and self-starterDesire to work with groundbreaking next generation SSD technologiesDesire to perform hands on debug in the lab to address customer issuesProficiency using Linux and Windows operating systemsExperience with setting up and configuring computer hardware and softwareExperience working with Taiwan ODMsExperience using JIRA and Confluence for bug tracking and documentationKnowledgeable with debug of hardware and software issues at a system and SSD drive levelMicrosoft Office ProficiencyEducationBS/MS in Computer Science, Firmware engineering or another relevant technical field5+ years of industry specific experience.
