I) Summary / Job Purpose工作概要

This role is part of Flowserve pump AM business, focusing on quotation preparing. This role involves all customer facing activities related to the order acquisition process including proposal development, specification and scope review, pricing analysis, and coordination with multiple internal and external stakeholders. This position reports to ComOps Manager for Pump AM:

Establish and maintain close working relationships with Sales, Operations, and other functional stakeholders to promote best interests of Flowserve. To identify customer needs by talking with customer, Flowserve sales, or checking original equipment history in Flowserve system. The customer might be outside of China, south east Asia for example. Demonstrate a fundamental understanding of pump applications and types, a clear understanding of pump affinity laws and how these relate to pumps and systems. Be familiar with equipment manufacturing process, understand BOM, drawing, part number and other manufacture elements. Review all customer inquiry related documents while addressing all relevant technical and commercial requirements. Manage and monitor the proposal throughout the entire bid cycle including updating and maintaining Salesforce, while monitoring hit-rate is optimized. Excellent verbal English and written English skill is necessary for this role, as this role must talk to South East Asia customer and colleagues.

Coordinate and manage sub-supplier requests, replacement parts and components, labor estimates and quotations related to aftermarket requests. Sometimes travel to customer jobsite is necessary.

II) Main Duties and Responsibilities工作范围及责任

- Identify sales inquiries, identify if it is ok to be quoted. To collect information before making the formal quotation. Sometimes select a new pump is necessary.

- Confirm final scope and prepare quotation according to requirements and Flowserve resources.

- Review the commercial &. Technical requirements, list out all of the deviation’s terms by consulting with relevant departments.

- Prepare “Price Analysis” for approval before quoting out.

- Communicate with vendor and Flowserve factory for discount to get customer PO finally. Sometimes Flowserve factory is outside of China.

- Sometimes travel to customer jobsite to collect information is necessary.

- Transfer PO to factory/QRC for execution.

-  BSME degree or equivalent, relevant industry experience preferred.

Years of Related Experiences 工作经验:

- At least 2 years working experience, mechanical equipment industry is preferred.

Professional Knowledge 专业知识:

Mechanical Engineering and Metal material knowledge is necessary.

Excellent English is necessary, both verbal and written.

Skills 其他技能:

-  Understand ERP system. 

-  Be good at communication.

-  Good PC skills and experience with Microsoft Office tools.
