Renishaw Spa is the Italian subsidiary that markets and supports all Renishaw products in Italy and abroad: following a growth of operations of the group and its associates in the position and motion control sector, we are looking for a new teammate to join us as an Industrial Automation Applications Engineer, based in Italy.  

The role

This opportunity is aimed at individuals with experience in industrial robotics. The role requires the ability to support manufacturers, integrators and end users in applying and using our devices for robot process control and calibration, and also to provide support to our sales network during pre-sales activities.

Main responsibilities

Support OEMs, integrators and end users in installing and commissioning Renishaw devices for robots, including software

Provide pre-sales and post-sales support for Renishaw products for robotics

Demonstrate hardware and software products, also at customer site, in cooperation with the sales network or independently

Provide training to customers, also at their site

Liaise with the UK headquarters and the EMEA Group infrastructure, to constantly improve own knowledge and develop special applications

Act as an ambassador for this technology

Key requirements

Technical high school diploma or scientific or engineering university degree

2-5 years of experience in industrial robotics

Frequent travel in Italy and occasionally abroad is expected

Fluent Italian and English (spoken and written)

IT literacy

Organised, self-motivated individual, with good written and verbal communication skills

Methodical and systematic approach to problem solving

Ability to remain confident in customer facing environments

Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills

Commercial awareness

Category B driving license

Desirable requirements

Background of working at an integrator or at a robot OEM

Knowledge of technical and electrical drawings and of mechanical machining

Knowledge of systems and methods for industrial metrology

Resident in North-Western Italy
