Objective

The Applications Engineer Rotary Drilling Tools is responsible for providing technical support, supervising, and optimising the use of rotary drilling tools in various drilling applications. They should ensure the efficient operation of rotary drilling tools, provide technical support, application knowledge, and product knowledge to sales areas, and collaborate with R&D to provide feedback on product performance.

Responsibilities

Technical Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for rotary drilling operations to minimise downtime and ensure smooth operations.Training: Develop and deliver training programmes for operators and sales area personnel on the use and maintenance of rotary drilling tools.Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand what is required to optimise the drilling processes.Performance Monitoring: Monitor and collect data on drilling performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.Safety Compliance: Ensure that all drilling operations comply with safety regulations and best practices.Documentation: Maintain detailed records of drilling operations, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures.Commercial Skills: Support the commercial team in product development and provide consulting, recommendations, and support.

Requirements

Experience: Experience in working with rotary drilling applications (rotary drilling experience is a must).Technical Skills: Proficiency in rotary drilling, including operation and maintenance of rotary drilling tools and related equipment.Commercial Skills: Ability to perform consulting, recommendations, and support the commercial team in product development.Residence: Ideal residence in order of preference: 1. Chile, 2. Peru, 3. Mexico.Support Region: Will provide technical support to Latin America (Brazil, Mexico, etc.).Education: University degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent.Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in related functions.Languages: Advanced English and Spanish (required). Portuguese is ideal.Travel: Ability to travel inside and outside the country. Must make customer visits.Driver's Licence: Class B Driver's Licence.Communication and Presentation Skills: Strong communication and presentation skills are essential.
