Applications & SharePoint Administrator IVOverview:
This is an entry-level Applications and SharePoint Administrator position. The incumbent is responsible for developing front-end modifications/enhancements for system applications to meet emerging program needs. This position will work closely with program offices, subject matter experts, end users, and other stakeholders to gather system requirements and implement solutions that support training and operations. The incumbent will also provide technical support for SharePoint and other third-party applications, managing content/storage, building workflows, administering user permissions, and troubleshooting access issues as necessary.
Primary Responsibilities: Manage/lead system and application development projects. Utilize common and advanced SharePoint features to build and implement standard and custom solutions. Leverage the integration of Microsoft 365 applications (to include Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, etc.) with SharePoint to increase efficiency and develop new processes. Perform comprehensive front-end SharePoint administration functions, managing all aspects of site collection infrastructure and information security. Design and construct workflows and custom solutions using PowerApps and Power Automate/Flow. Configure, integrate, test, implement, and validate new features and applications based on documented project requirements. Collaborate with programmer team members to translate requirements into customized solutions. Provide expert-level analysis of audiences and use-cases to conceptualize organization and specific project schema, as well as structures and interfaces for information and files. Provide technical training/guidance for SharePoint, as well as other applications and systems. Provide guidance on content management for other areas of operation and make recommendations for custom solutions or system enhancements to meet program requirements. Conceptualize, design, and develop advanced system components and architecture, within the constraints of the system and specified parameters. Create fully deployable solutions, as well as develop project plans to document technical processes involved in building customized solutions. Mentor team members on advanced builds, operations, and troubleshooting. Performs quality assurance reviews on team members’ work. Coordinate with operational units/programs to gather needs requirements and validate processes throughout the project development and implementation phase. Develop custom databases to store and structure data into secure and accessible formats. Perform final quality assurance reviews on all team deliverables. Analyze platform usage information to improve deliverables based on system performance and user feedback. Supervisory Responsibilities:None
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience/certification(s) required. Advanced-level experience in front-end system administration in one or more enterprise collaboration environments; SharePoint required Experience in database architecture; to include extensive demonstrated experience in organizing, cataloging, defining relationships between, developing queries for, and storing a broad range of data types. Experience with API data queries preferred Expert-level knowledge/familiarity with Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Windows, and Microsoft Office. Experience with leveraging the integration of Microsoft 365 applications (to include Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, etc.) with SharePoint. Experience with asset structuring, platform architecture, organization schema, and system security at an organization-wide level Experience in managing system/application development projects, from conceptualization to implementation Experience with implementing standard and custom solutions within specified parameters and constraints Experience with serving as the senior project manager in a team environment. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Demonstrated expertise in quality assurance review and troubleshooting. Demonstrated advanced knowledge of data organization techniques, (i.e., pattern identification, attention to detail, naming convention development, asset structuring, data management, cataloging/classification and storage methods). Able to perform assigned duties independently or within a collaborative team environment. Experience with remaining professional under pressure, identifying and executing project milestones, and managing client expectations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent writing, quality assurance, and analytical skills, to include documentation of technical processes and project plans, as well as deliverable review and needs requirements validation.
