Applications Support Specialist

Nexstar is seeking an Applications Support Specialist. This position will primarily focus on supporting end users by answering questions and troubleshooting issues related to business-critical applications. Qualified applicants should have good analytical problem-solving skills, a fundamental understanding of accounting principles, the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision, and a high level of self-motivation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide system & functional support and participate in troubleshooting incidents for all supported applications working closely with end-users and infrastructure teams.Take ownership of ticket resolution for incidents and requestsTriage service requests, performing routine support tasks and system admin duties, and working with external resources/vendors to resolve more complex requests.Knowledge and support of ERP releases, version updates and changes, including testing and supporting business users in a testing environment.Ability to train end users with the functionality of business-critical applications as it relates to best practices.Ensure system compliance with industry standards and best practices for data security and privacy.

Qualifications

Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or related fields.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a passion for getting to the root cause of issues.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional team members.Experience of 3rd party solutions and integrations is helpful.Experience with MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint/workflow approvals/Document Management and repository.Ability to manage and prioritize workload without supervision.Eagerness to continue to learn and develop your technical skills by staying current with emerging trends, advancements, and best practices in relevant technologies and the ability to assess organizational alignment.Basic knowledge of Microsoft SQL database (Querying and creating scripts)The ideal candidate will have general knowledge of Power Platform, Active Directory, and related technologies, as well as general accounting fundamentals.Prepare documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
