Applications Systems Analyst Pharm
**Description** PeaceHealth is seeking a Applications Systems Analyst Pharm for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position. The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $58.88 – $88.32. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc. Responsible for the design, analysis, implementation and maintenance of computer-based information systems. Installs, troubleshoots, maintains and modifies application software. Works as part of a team consisting of IST and client department caregivers to ensure systems are developed, installed and maintained for optimizing departmental resources. In addition, brings understanding of pharmacy workflows to systems applications implementation including knowledge of providing compassionate pharmaceutical care, dispensing, and distributing drugs; advising physicians and patients regarding proper usage of prescribed drugs, collaboration with other healthcare professional to plan, monitor, review and evaluate patient effectiveness, and monitoring patients for side effects and drug interactions. Details of the Position: + Leads projects associated with application implementation and execution. Applies project management methodology and utilizes standard project management for software in development and maintenance of project plans. + Reviews and understands system options and specifications of applications and utilizes the specifications as applicable to make recommendations on use. + Consults with customers to understand workflows, processes, data collection, reports details and other technical issues associated with software as they relate to system design and build decisions that support the department's function and goals. + Analyzes design alternatives and makes appropriate design decisions. Designs, validates and confirms new or changed functionality with the application environment that meets customer specifications. Understands and translates the business/department functionality into Application configurations and workflow validations. + Builds, tests, and debugs application to ensure the system meets end-user requirements. Participates in building complete testing plans to validate system parameters and functionality performs as specified. + Completes assigned application deployment, management and testing tasks. + Assists application and technical team in the on-going management of user request, issues, clinical application problems, and delivery of application enhancements. + Maintains project documentation including resources used, decisions, outcomes, agreements, etc. + Works with vendors as appropriate to ensure smooth operation of products, reporting and resolution of issues. + Performs other duties as assigned. What You Bring: Education + Bachelor's Degree Required: Computer Science or related field, or the combination of professional experience and/or education or + Bachelor's Degree Required: Information Systems or related field, or the combination of professional experience and/or education and + Bachelor's Degree Required: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or + Doctor of Pharmacy Required: Experience + Required: Residency or equivalent experience. Demonstrated basic pharmacy clinical skills and + Minimum of 2 years Required: professional experience with hospital software or hardware technology including designing, configuring, training, or implementing applications and + Required: Experience with clinical and business workflow analysis for development of electronic solutions within assigned application and + Required: Experience organizing and managing detailed information and working with teams Credentials + Required : Multi-State Registered Pharmacist and + Preferred : Basic Life Support and + Preferred : Advanced Cardiac Life Support and + Preferred : Pediatric Advanced Life Support and + Preferred : EPIC Certification or experience. May be required within a specific time parameter post hire Skills + Demonstrated customer services skills. (Required) + Knowledge of operational healthcare hospital workflows. (Preferred) + Knowledge of system configuration, data tools and concepts, application implementations, optimization, report writing, or related applicable skill set. (Preferred) + Understanding of systems analysis concepts, techniques, industry best practices, tools and standards. (Required) + Proficiency in the use of MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required. (Required) + Ability to work independently in an environment with multiple work demands and focus on detail. (Required) + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. (Required) + Strong organizational and analytical skills. (Required) + Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects and display flexibility in a fast paced and changing work environment. (Required) + Utilize software change management, process improvement and quality planning methods in all phases of work. (Required) + Ability to accommodate varying levels of travel to attend meetings, implementations and customer support activities is required on a regular basis. (Required) Working Conditions Lifting + Consistently operates computer and other office equipment. + Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. + Sedentary work.
