Key Responsibilities:
The position is responsible for enhancing the competencies and capacities of staff members in utilizing the organization's systems and applications. This role involves a strategic approach to improving user adoption while increasing the staff acceptance of systems and applications across the organization leading to increased efficiency and productivity.
Additionally, as part of the role the position will also lead in the provision of Level 1 support for software and applications and act as a end-user focused link to the Organizations’ systems development teams in ensuring efficient resolution of issues and maintaining system integrity.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Capacity Building and Competencies Development
Leads capacity building initiatives focused on enhancing and expanding IT focused skills, knowledge, and abilities of organizational units and respective staff to perform tasks effectively and efficiently. Identify and Address learning gaps in existing digital approaches, providing enhanced training and engagement activities that cover identified challenges that hinder staff on systems uptake and adoption. Builds on collaborative work with external units on acquiring new competencies and improving existing skills for staff, fostering a continuous learning and improvement mindset focused on improved systems adoption and increased productivity.Institutional Systems Level 1 Support Lead
Serve as the primary point of contact for users experiencing WV systems specific difficulties. Oversees the initial response unit for technical issues within an organization, ensuring that systems issues are addressed promptly and efficiently. Coordinate with higher-level support and development teams for issues that require advanced intervention and actions. Embrace systems thinking to improve service delivery and encourage a culture of continuous improvement within the support team.Systems Processes Review and ICT Development (organizational)
Conduct a thorough review of current systems and document all processes related to systems use and adoption, their alignment with actual business processes and activities. Clearly define and articulate the objectives and constraints of the system and ensure that feedback mechanisms are in place for future improvements. Providing a critical view of our inherent systems’ viability their interoperability and not just as a compliance requirement. Working with the cross-functional and cross-unit team/s, outline systems innovations that can be performed at the local level, while documenting high-level show-stopping function/process gaps that need to be elevated to higher sub-units in WV hierarchy. Together with frontline and support units, implement the organizations digitalization strategy, ensuring to track progress and make adjustments as necessary and ensures it remains aligned with organizational goals and external changes.End-user Performance, Cybersecurity, System Synergies (individual)
Implement monitoring and optimization of WV system applications performance from the user's perspective to improve satisfaction, retention, and engagement. Establish a framework to capture user minimum capacity requirements, measuring levels of adoption, usage-metrics and readiness to cyber security risks.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Education, Educational Technology, Technical Communications and technology training aligned degrees and courses.3 to 5 years of experience in Applications and Systems Development, with specific emphasis on training and user-adoption.Proficiency in providing first and second line support and working with customers to diagnose and solve technical issues.Strong understanding of IT systems, web applications, and databases is expected.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential.Experience in developing and updating technical documentation, user manuals, and standard operating procedures.Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues.Advanced skills in Collaboration Tools, e-Learning and Distance Engagement Tools.Familiar with software development methodologies and approaches.Proficiency in customer service and technical support channels.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a multi-discipline environment.Experienced in non-profits and social development organization processes.Excellent communication skills, both in-person and virtual.Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.Continuous learning and adaptability to new technologies and software updates.Technology training certification a major plus.Applicant Types Accepted:
