As an established software engineer in Global Technology Applied Research, you will have proven networking services and middleware R&D background to drive quantum-safe networking innovations at JPMorgan Chase. The role will contribute to the development and deployment of next-generation quantum network services for business applications and end users. The role is expected to collaborate with a highly interdisciplinary team, consisting of researchers and engineers from different technical disciplines, who may be located in different cities across the globe.
Job responsibilities
Contribute to the design and development of network services, middleware, and applications for quantum networks Develop quantum-safe networking roadmaps in consultation with stakeholders, internal teams, and partners Work with internal and cross-functional teams to ensure R&D outcomes are compliant with industry best practices and firm’s cyber and technology controls Work closely with an interdisciplinary R&D team consisting of researchers and engineers Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respectRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, IT or related disciplines 2+ years of experience in software engineering role in networking, telecommunications, quantum networks or related domains. Proven track record in delivering technical software projects, from design and system configuration to delivery, maintenance, and technical support Technical proficiency in networking protocol and architectures, and with one or more general-purpose programming languages and compliers.Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Proven experience in building out quantum-safe solutions (e.g., quantum key distribution or post-quantum cryptography) for clients and customers Proven experience in adopting and deploying emerging technologies (e.g., AI, blockchain or quantum) in finance Graduate degree in computer engineering, computer science, IT or related disciplines
