We're looking for an Appointed Person to join our Anglian Water team
Location: Lincolnshire or Norfolk
Hours: 45 hours per week – some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us
What will you be responsible for?
As an Appointed Person, you'll be working within the Anglian Water team, supporting them in managing the lifting requirements. This will include producing and approving lift plans and assisting with training requirements and advising lifting operations.
Your day to day will include:
Ensure that each lifting operation, or series of similar operations is assessed to provide such as planning, selection of lifting applications and accessories, instruction, and supervisor as is necessary for the task to be undertaken safely Ensure there is an effective procedure for reporting defects and incidents, taking corrective actions as necessary Make sure lift operations do not conflict with the safety of any other actions on site, whilst completing site safety audits and near miss/ hazard reporting to achieve zero AFR Monitoring of working practices to maintain compliance of company standards relating to lifting activities Assist, mentor and coach other staff with a focus on lifting operations
