Appraisal Coordinator

SWBC is seeking a talented individual to coordinate the placing and tracking of mortgage appraisal orders through an appraisal management system to ensure accuracy, regulatory compliance, and prompt collection of fees.

Essential duties include the following:

Monitors status of appraisal orders submitted by origination, processing, and underwriting staffs to ensure compliance with Appraiser Independence Rules.

Places appraisal orders through an appraisal management system with the highest degree of accuracy and timeliness to include assisting processors, loan officers, and the underwriting staff with appraisal orders.

Monitors assignments and the return delivery of appraisal products from the appraisal vendor to ensure the file is processed accurately and in a timely manner.

Interacts with the appraiser and internal origination, processing and underwriting staffs to facilitate the ordering and return delivery of appraisal assignments.

Maintains appraiser vendor panel within Mercury system to include adding and removing appraisers as required and recording daily work in the Mercury appraisal management system to ensure data is accurate and up-to-date.

Serious candidates will possess the minimum qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalency required.

Some college courses in Business or related field preferred.

Minimum one to two (1 - 2) years clerical, administrative support, or related experience.

Experience in a mortgage lending environment or appraisal practice preferred.

Basic understanding of financial terms and principles.

Strong ability to focus on details and demonstrate accuracy.

Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Good interpersonal skills to work well with support staff.

Ability to work well under pressure and have excellent time management skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.

Working knowledge of general office equipment to include computers, copiers, scanners, and/or fax machines.

Working knowledge of current word processing and spreadsheet software.

Able to type at least 60 WPM accurately.

Able to work under sometimes stressful conditions while maintaining professionalism and enthusiasm.

Able to sit for long periods of time placing and monitoring appraisals.

Able to lift and carry up 10-20 lbs. of office materials, boxes, paper and/or supplies.

Able to stand, push or pull, stoop, or kneel while operating standard office equipment.
