Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Appraisal Researcher in Baltimore, Maryland. This role primarily involves reviewing property appraisals within the residential real estate industry, specifically in Baltimore. The workplace is based in a dynamic and fast-paced environment where you'll be tasked with analyzing and escalating certain types of appraisals while adhering to Fair Housing Law. Responsibilities include: • Analyzing and reviewing residential real estate appraisals that come in. • Utilizing knowledge of the Baltimore real estate market to make informed decisions. • Escalating certain types of appraisals when necessary. • Ensuring compliance with Fair Housing Law in all appraisal reviews. • Conducting Comparative Market Analysis to understand property values. • Utilizing skills in Residential Real Estate and Real Estate Appraisal to ensure accuracy in appraisal reviews. • Maintaining and updating accurate records of all appraisals reviewed. • Resolving inquiries related to the appraisals reviewed. • Monitoring real estate market trends in Baltimore to stay updated. • Collaborating with the team to improve and streamline the appraisal review process. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year experience in a relevant role is required • Demonstrated knowledge of Fair Housing Law and Fair Housing principles • Proficiency in conducting residential real estate appraisals • Strong understanding of real estate, particularly residential properties • Ability to perform comparative market analysis • Familiarity with residential real estate laws and regulations • Excellent research and analytical skills • Strong communication and reporting skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
