For this specific vacancy, you will undertake a Level 2 Apprenticeship in Horticulture and Landscapes over 24 months. As a Grounds Maintenance Apprentice, you'll be responsible for maintaining our customers' sites, including using tools such as mowers, strimmers, leaf blowers, and hedge cutters. You'll also control weeds through chemical treatment (once qualified), deliver winter services like gritting and snow clearance, and record your tasks through our scheduling and reporting app. Ensuring your work areas are clean and tidy, complying with Health & Safety procedures, and adopting sustainable working practices are also key parts of the role. In addition, you'll provide management with relevant reports and work as part of a team.

We're looking for candidates who have a passion for horticulture and landscaping, enjoy problem-solving, and are eager to gain hands-on experience. Commitment to learning and completing studies is essential. While you should be comfortable working with mechanical equipment and hand tools (with full training provided), you must also have Maths and English at Level 4-9 or equivalent (Scottish National 5 grade A to C). Please be prepared to provide certificates at interview.
