Machinist Apprenticeship Opportunity 

Job Purpose: 
To undertake a comprehensive training program and become a skilled Machinist, contributing to our reputation for excellence in the food industry. 
 
Key Features of our Apprenticeship: 

Four-year practical training and further education program 

Work alongside experienced engineers in a friendly team environment 

Day release to training provider for Level 3 Apprenticeship qualification 

Hands-on experience with manual and CNC machining, including milling, turning, and grinding 

Specialization in a specific machining skill as the apprenticeship progresses 

Regular salary reviews based on individual progress 

 
Main Duties: 

Manufacture parts for our Assembly Shop and customers 

Operate manual and CNC machines 

Self-inspect produced parts 

Interpret drawings and specifications 

Produce high-quality work with attention to detail 

Contribute to team improvement initiatives 

Assist other sections as part of a multi-disciplinary team 

Work within planned job times and communicate deviations 

 
Candidate Profile: 

Genuine interest in practical engineering, demonstrated through projects or hobbies 

Self-motivated with a determination to succeed 

Good communication skills 

Curiosity about how things work 

Passion for learning new skills 

Ability to contribute to teamwork 

English and Maths GCSE at grade C/4 or above
