Duties will include the below: Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal products and equipment, such as ducts, duct heaters, drainpipes, and furnace casings. Work may involve any of the following: setting up and operating fabricating machines to cut, bend, and straighten sheet metal; or inspecting, assembling, and smoothing seams and joints of burred surfaces. Includes sheet metal duct installation to install prefabricated sheet metal ducts used for heating, air conditioning, or other purposes. **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities** Must have strong mechanical aptitude **Education, Experience and Certifications** High school diploma or equivalent. **Physical Requirements** Must be able to work within the setting of a hydroelectric power plant. **Military Occupational Specialty Codes** **MOS - Army:** **MOS - Marines:** **MOS - Navy** : Hourly rates for union-represented employees are collectively bargained by theNew York Power Authorityand IBEW. The negotiated pay rate for this position is$34.25 per hour.
