Apprentice Welder **Location:** New Iberia, LA, United States, 70560 **Company:** Chart Industries **_Ensuring Chart’s Success…_** **_What Will You Do?_** + Certifications: + Tacking + Under direct supervision and guidance, weld by arc method using stick, gas or flux-shielded wire, semi-automatic, button or stud welding equipment + Under direct supervision and guidance, weld on carbon, alloy or stainless steel plate, sheet, shapes, castings or other parts included in fabricated steel work + Clean welds by chipping, grinding or brushing where required + Complete up to 2 qualification tests + Learn the Weld Map and Welding Procedure Specification requirements + Demonstrate an understanding of the proper use of hand tools, grinders and welding equipment + Assist Welders and Fitters in cleaning, moving, holding, clamping and preparing work pieces + Required to work at elevated heights up to 75ft + Add’l duties and responsibilities may be assigned **_Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…_** **_Your Experience Should Be..._** + High school diploma or equivalent + One year experience as a tacker + Requirements may be obtained through on-the-job training **_Our Benefits Package..._**
