The role

 

As an Apprenticeship Coach, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Supporting Trainee Fire Fighters through apprenticeship programme and delivery of Functional Skills.

 

Day-to-day, you’ll monitor and record apprentice progression towards achievement and give feedback to them and their manager/mentor. 

 

Delivering and facilitating learning to support the completion of required Functional Skills at level 2 including testing to achieve the standards required by the awarding organisations. One to one and group delivery for on demand workshops for maths and English.  Create and maintain an efficient work plan practising effective time management and cost effectiveness. 


This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home.


Essential experience of the Apprenticeship Coach 

 

Experience of Functional Skills requirements Working knowledge of MS Office applications Knowledge of the process for delivering Apprenticeship Standards Proven record in delivering and assessing learning.


Qualifications for the Apprenticeship Coach

 

Functional Skills level 2 maths and English or equivalent  Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievements – or equivalent e.g. CAVA, A1, D32 (desirable) Level 3 Award in Education and Training – or equivalent (desirable)

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
