The role
As an Apprenticeship Specialist at Fugro, you will work closely with the Early Careers Lead to recruit apprentices and manage apprenticeship programs across the UK.
This role provides a platform for you to showcase your expertise in apprenticeship recruitment and program management, while also contributing to the growth and development of apprentices. You will have the chance to travel to various Fugro sites and careers events, promoting the Fugro employer brand though attraction campaigns and a school and college outreach strategy.
Your role will involve selecting apprenticeship providers, sourcing talent, and managing relationships with training providers and academic institutions to maximise levy spend whilst hiring great talent. You will provide support to apprentices throughout their apprenticeship, ensuring they have a clear network and bridging the gap between apprentices and training providers. Additionally, you will develop attraction campaigns for apprentices by promoting and enhancing the Fugro employer brand, and always provide a positive and professional candidate experience.
You will regularly liaise with the Early Careers Lead and hiring managers across the business to understand apprenticeship recruitment needs, provide regular updates, and support a smooth onboarding process for candidates. Constant interaction with candidates and apprentices throughout the hiring and onboarding process, as well as providing support throughout the lifecycle of the apprenticeship program, will be key aspects of your role.
Who we’re looking for:
We are seeking a an experienced professional with a strong background in apprenticeship recruitment, apprenticeship framework design, and program management. You will have extensive experience in shaping and delivering best-in-class apprenticeship talent acquisition in a complex corporate environment.
This role requires someone with practical experience in securing and navigating funding for apprenticeships, with a particular focus on the differences in funding across Scotland and England and how these impact levy spending, as well as experience managing apprenticeship providers and partnering with them to support apprentices on the program.
You will have experience in building a targeted school and college outreach programme nationally, and have an understanding of how to leverage this to increase an employer brand. Previously you will have developed effective candidate attraction campaigns to support with apprenticeship recruitment, using data in developing your strategy.
