The Animal Nutrition division is part of the ADM’s global Nutrition business with its human nutrition and health & wellness divisions. The Global Animal Nutrition Science and Technology team is focused on development of cutting-edge technologies to provide science-based solutions to our customers in the animal nutrition industry. 

The successful candidate will report to the Research Director, Animal Nutrition and will be based in Decatur, IL. The candidate will occupy a key role within the team and will be responsible for developing innovative and science-based products to differentiate ourselves in the market by 1) leading the aquaculture research segment pipeline leveraging  ADM capabilities to deliver a unique research program for aquaculture applications, 2) leading the exploration of new concepts, ideas and technologies, 3) planning and executing the research pipeline according to the global Animal Nutrition research strategy. 

Your ResponsibilitiesLead the R&D project pipeline for the Aquaculture segment from conception to commercial implementation, including direct management of key projects Establish and maintain strong working relationships between global Animal Nutrition leaders, key stakeholders in the aquaculture segment, and R&D colleaguesWork closely with Aquaculture business in the regions to align aquaculture R&D pipeline with business strategy Work with project leaders to execute prioritized projects, managing the portfolio of Aquaculture segment R&DCollaborate with technical services colleagues to execute supporting research effortsActively scout innovation and technology opportunities in collaboration with key ADM stakeholdersProvide direction on aquaculture technical and scientific topics related to product development, process improvement, technical applications of products, and other relevant areasIdentify critical path capabilities to support the global Aquaculture business and implement through collaboration with internal and external partners Promote ADM Animal Nutrition aquaculture research through scientific communication including publication in peer-reviewed journals, participation to conferences and support to business  Your ProfilePh.D. degree in Aquaculture Science, Animal Sciences or related field  Minimum 10 years of experience in aquaculture research (nutrition, production systems, health) and feed ingredient development    Must be skilled in engaging with external and internal customersDemonstrated success in transforming ideas to commercially viable products, services, and nutritional solutions.Flexibility in approaching new opportunities and novel viewpointsAbility to communicate with a diverse audience of stakeholders from technical and nontechnical backgrounds. Written and oral scientific communication skillsFluency in EnglishExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with others in a global contextExcellent capacity to work in autonomy while reporting regularly to the managementOur OfferChallenging tasks, short decision-making processes and a high level of personal responsibility in a modern work environmentRoom for innovative thinking and growth with the possibility to manage your own career pathA company culture which promotes continuous learning and diversityExcellent career opportunities in a world leading nutrition companyAn attractive remuneration including a variety of social benefits like subsidized health & fitness offersExcited about this role but don’t meet every requirement listed?
