The Aquaculture Biologist - Technical Sales Representative interacts with customers and team members to analyze customer needs and provide technical support for PAES products. We bring water to life!

The anticipated hourly pay for this role is: $22.50 hr. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Provide internal and external customers with exceptional customer service by:
Support the PAES contact center sales team and customers on product related technical questionsSupport the goal of increasing sales by improving overall technical understanding of products within the contact center to facilitate up-selling of additional productsEffectively communicate with customers directly to assist with product specifications, sizing, and applicationAnswer phones and provide technical assistance with product applications to both customers and co-workersProvide price quotes and enter sales orders for products in a timely and accurate manner that is consistent with PAES pricing objectivesRespond to all incoming data specifically phone calls, faxes, electronic mail, conventional mail, and other sales related documentation in a timely and accurate mannerBe asked to take on additional duties, as needed.Key Qualifications:
A thorough understanding of products related to all forms of aquaculture and aquaponics, with an emphasis on recirculating aquaculture systemsProven ability to manage and execute sales within the industry or related technical sales experienceExcellent organizational and communication skills are requiredMust have ability to work independently while handling a wide variety of projects and able to prioritize them effectivelyAbility to remain in control, professional, and empathetic while handling customer interactionsOutstanding written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated proficiency in written (Microsoft Office suite) and oral skills (face-to-face, telephone & public speaking).Skilled at navigating through multiple applicationsProven organizational skills.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Have earned an associate’s degree in Aquaculture or preferably a four-year BA/BS Degree in Aquaculture, Biology, Chemistry, Marine Science, Fisheries Science, Oceanography or LimnologyHave 1+ years of professional experience in a related fieldPosition hours/shifts:
Remote with possible infrequent travel
8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Fri
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Able to communicate effectively in the English language
