Position Overview:

Provides patient care within regulatory requirements and performs a broad range of non-patient related tasks to support the department and staff both in rehab and pool. Responsible for monitoring the safety of all pool participants and performing water rescues if necessary. May be responsible for cleaning and setting up the patient treatment area, moving patients, and performing clerical duties. Maintains pool area and monitors pool operation. Assists in training and mentoring colleagues, acts as a lead for lifeguards and other aquatic staff, and performs more complicated administrative functions, such as patient scheduling, patient check-in/out. Gains confidence and cooperation from the patient, their family/support group, and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication. Maintains strong relationships with the community members and facilitates communication for any issues or concerns. Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety of our patients and members.

Job Description:

EDUCATION:
HS Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE

American Red Cross (ARC)- Lifeguard Certification

BLS- Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

recent relevant experience

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

Ability to work in demanding work environment, organize multiple priorities, and complete work duties within expected timelines and requirements.

Computer and required technology proficiency/ competencies.

Professional communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, teamwork/ collaboration, customer service, and community relations.

Able to retain and apply new knowledge & skills.

Ability to complete applicable work assignments independently.

Ability to teach/educate others.

Ability to develop training and competency assessment materials.

Knowledge of staff scheduling.

Able to hold staff accountable.

Pay Range is $32.13 to $40.15 / hour

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
