Aquatics Lifeguard
Overview:

$18.00 / hour

Lifeguards are responsible for providing superior guest service, while ensuring the safe operation of the attractions, including the safety of guests through the enforcement of rider requirements. Our lifeguard training classes and certifications are provided to you for FREE… and you get PAID to complete them!

A screening process will take place to ensure the requirements of a Lifeguard are met. Once your application is recieved, the initial interview will be the first step followed by a second assessment, which involves your swim ability. This includes the ability to swim 200 yards (8 laps) for deep water guards or 50 yards (2 laps) for shallow water guards. In addition, we will assess your ability to pick up a 10lb. brick going feet first from a 6ft. pool depth, and your ability to tread water for 2 minutes without use of your arms.

Qualifications:CPR and First Aid certification (training provided)Current lifeguard certification (training provided)Ability to pass a Lifeguard course taught in EnglishPhysical stamina and strong swimming skillsPhysical role requiring heavy lifting, pushing, bending, twisting, and kneelingPerform work that may involve lifting Guests, in and out of the poolWillingness to get wet and stay wet throughout the day, regardless of weatherPreparedness to be test/rescue ready at all times during shiftCompliance with wearing approved footwearAttention to safety and detail20/20 vision or corrective vision to 20/20Strong observational skills to proactively identify Guest needs and ensure safety guidelines are being followedLifeguards provides guidances to Guests, problem-solving, and work in a cooperative team environmentA genuine interest in making people feel welcome using your smile and positive natureKeen to be a part of something you believe in, providing fun while having fun at workOpenness to learn, grow and develop skillsCommitment to your team by being on time and working scheduled shiftsWork in outdoor settings during variou weather conditions.
