Specific Duties & Responsibilities 

Maintain a current Ellis and Associates Special Facilities Lifeguard Instructor licenseAttend all lifeguard training and assist with in-service trainingEnsure that all lifeguards adhere to the professional knowledge and skill standards set forth by Ellis and Associates and Hurricane HarborMaintain all training and water safety equipment in a "like new" conditionEnsure that all lifeguards have completed all necessary training and that this training has been documented, prior to working in the ParkResponsible for the direct supervision of the Head Lifeguards and the general supervision of the Lifeguards, including, but not limited to, attraction operation compliance, safety, daily inspections, scheduling, disciplinary action, and administration of employee incentivesResponsible for the administration and verification of the Aquatic Safety Checklists. Must routinely perform Aquatic Safety Checklists to verify the efficiency of Head LifeguardsMonitor and enforce all Park safety rules and standards to ensure the total safety of employees and Guests, including reporting and fixing potential hazardsRespond to and manage all aquatic rescues and events that interrupt the aquatic environment or compromise the safety of any personResponsible for pool, deck, and office cleanlinessEnsure that all paperwork is neatly and accurately completed and filedResponsible for addressing Guest complaints and concernsResponsible for conducting both classroom and on-the-job training as necessaryMust enforce and ensure that all employees comply with all Six Flags America rules, regulations, policies, and safety standardsResponsible for the total labor management of all Aquatic areas, including the enforcement of all Six Flags America and Maryland state labor rules and laws, particularly noting those pertaining to minorMust maintain professional, productive, and efficient working relationships with all Hurricane Harbor employeesOther duties as assigned by Management
