Primary Accountabilities:
Analytical: Analyze unapplied cash categories to identify exceptions or unusual itemsResearch adjustments made by third parties including transaction fees/contractual adjustmentsResearch interruptions or discrepancies in data flowAbility to analyze transactions, detect and avoid errorsAbility to perform detailed work with numerical data and to make mathematical computations rapidly and accurately.Ability to prepare and analyze complex financial reports and recordsMonitor trending of specified data flowTechnical Use data visualizations appropriately and effectivelyIdentify, develop and implement new procedures to increase efficiency and productivity of work processesParticipate in product grooming, perform and lead user acceptance testingProduce reports and other requested deliverables including financial analysisDesign internal and external facing dashboards for trending and benchmarkingOperationalPerform manual cash applicationsResolve remittance discrepanciesManagement of weekly process within specified assigned clients or workflow queues:Accurately complete all tasks on job specific task listImplement efficiencies after receiving approval from managerMake general ledger adjustments to properly classify transactionsPerform routine file maintenance including but not limited to setting up new stores, carriers, or processing rules based on direction given by account team or managerUtilize best practices in time management skills in order to perform regular daily tasks in addition to extra projects as assigned by supervisor/managerAdministrative Provide daily/weekly reporting to supervisor/manager as determined based on job specific dutiesDevelop processes and procedures to maintain and monitor unapplied cash balances at acceptable levelsDistribute workload to other team members, as assigned by supervisor/managerMaintain HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) compliance in all client communicationInfluence Serve as lead and/or facilitator for projectsRecommend and implement best practices for transaction processing such as business rules, tolerance settings, transaction taggingTake a solutions-based approach when addressing supervisor/manager with issueDevelop efficiencies within team and present these ideas to supervisor/managerWork with team members to establish business rules that can be used each time these common scenarios arisePerform special projects and other duties as assigned by managementRequired Qualifications:
At least four years of relevant experience involving customer service, computer usage, data entry and data analysis and a Bachelors’ degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field; OR an equivalent combination of training and experience required to complete the essential functions/job responsibilities of the positionHealthcare industry experience preferredKnowledge of generally accepted accounting principlesKnowledge of accounting procedures on automated systemsIntermediate-level proficiency using MS Excel and MS WordKnowledge of computer systems and report generation (AS/400 knowledge preferred)Knowledge of servicing business accountsIndividual Competencies:
