Job Overview:

The Account Representative within the shared services  department provides assistance to stores and customers in analyzing commercial customer credit accounts for payment status, credit limits, authorization for purchases, and reconciliation of payment posting issues.  Post customer payments to account, research payment posting issues and follow up with customers/stores as needed to reconcile customer account issues. The candidate should possess good technology skills and knowledge, including above average knowledge of Excel. The candidate should have strong verbal and written communication skills. 

Responsibilities:

Respond to inbound customer calls to assist customers in resolving account issues such as payment posting errors, sales tax issues, invoice requests, and delinquent account issues Accurately and efficiently enters and processes daily cash deposits for all checks, EFT and credit card payments received Assist in researching unapplied payments on account to help reduce balance Post customer payments to accounts, research, and coordinate account adjustments as necessary. Assist with loading of invoices into various customer invoice portals. Responds to AR customer service emails. Prompt and efficient daily cash posting Other projects as requested by management

Qualifications: 

High school diploma or Associate or Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business a plus 2-3 years’ experience in Accounts Receivable, including but not limited to customer calls and collections experience, credit approval and cash applications, or comparable administrative experience. Experience in a team environment within a corporate office setting Excellent verbal and written communication skills Possess excellent attention to detail and organizational skill Efficient data processing skills, computer literacy, intermediate proficiency using Excel and Word (minimum competency), 10-key by touch Knowledge with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) JDA/AS400, or larger ERP system experience is a plus
