AR/VR Developer
**Our client, a multinational automotive manufacturing company is seeking an AR/VR Developer to join their team.** **Job Title: AR/VR Developer** **Location: Austin, TX** **Overview:** **We are seeking a highly skilled AR/VR Developer to design, develop, and implement immersive augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) applications. This hybrid position offers the opportunity to work on groundbreaking projects and deliver innovative solutions in automotive and enterprise environments.** **Key Responsibilities:** **Develop AR/VR applications for various platforms, including iOS, Android, HoloLens, and mobile devices.** **Build interactive 3D models, environments, and simulations for AR/VR applications.** **Optimize applications for performance, including frame rates, latency, and device compatibility.** **Collaborate with UX/UI designers and cross-functional teams to deliver immersive user experiences.** **Utilize AR/VR tools, libraries, and frameworks (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine, ARCore, ARKit) in development.** **Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure functionality and user satisfaction.** **Stay updated on the latest AR/VR technologies, trends, and industry standards.** **Document the development process, user requirements, and technical specifications.** **Qualifications & Skills:** **7+ years of experience in AR/VR development or related fields.** **Expertise in AR/VR platforms like Unity and Unreal Engine.** **Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, C++, and Python.** **Experience with ARCore, ARKit, or similar AR frameworks.** **Strong knowledge of CAD tools, with Teamcenter experience being a must.** **Familiarity with 3D modeling tools (e.g., Blender, Maya, 3ds Max) is a plus.** **Understanding of UI/UX principles for AR/VR environments.** **Experience with hardware devices like Microsoft HoloLens, iPads, or Samsung tablets.** **Skilled in API integrations and CAD model transformations.** **Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).** **Previous experience with GM systems is a bonus.** **Work Environment:** **Collaborate with a manufacturing IT group focused on innovative solutions for improving operations.** **Participate in sprint planning, user story creation, and milestone setting.** **Engage in daily stand-ups, tech huddles, and architecture discussions.** **Work in a team-oriented environment with remote meetings.** **Top 3 Skills:** **Proven experience (7+ years) in AR/VR development with successfully implemented projects.** **Proficiency in building AR/VR models in production environments.** **Advanced skills in C#, C++, and Python development.** **Additional Details:** **This role offers the possibility of contract extension.** **Previous experience with software like Unity, Unreal Engine, Teamcenter, and CAD tools is critical.** **The position involves creating augmented solutions to enhance existing applications.** **If you are a creative thinker with a passion for cutting-edge AR/VR technologies, we encourage you to apply!** If this is a role that interests you and you’d like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
