What you’ll do as a Spray Technician at Lewis:

Be part of a tight-knit crew working in a team environment Use hand tools and power tools Wear spray applicator suites, full face respirators, and/or chemical resistant apparel Mixing and apply spray chemicals, preserving desirable vegetation Assists crews on a variety of vegetation management tasks such as spraying, brush clean-up, and trimming Invasive species control

What you’ll need:

High School Diploma or equivalent Ability to perform physical labor such as lifting a minimum of 50 lbs. to shoulder height or more. Conduct inspections to identify issues and troubleshoot as needed Have experience with hand tools, power tools, and possess Knowledge of tree maintenance and tree care practices Previous experience with herbicide application. Herbicide Applicator License  Capable of operating two-handed equipment to apply fertilizer and chemical applications. Have the physical ability to endure extreme climate variances. Wear for long periods of time spray applicator suites, full face respirators, and chemical resistant apparel. Calibrate, upkeep and maintenance spray equipment and fertilizer spreaders Spray brushes and stumps and make proper application of spray chemicals to prevent damage to desirable vegetation. Willing and able to obtain specialized training and certifications as required, such as Pesticide Applicator’s License, Herbicide Application, Tree species identification, local, state and federal licenses. Preferred Herbicide Application Certificate. Ability to obtain First Aid and CPR cards Pass a pre-employment drug test and job duty skills tests Ability to obtain valid Driver’s License
