Position Summary: Responsible for various types of fitting-out, mounting, wiring, decaling, and installing numerous types of options to various truck bodies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Cutting and installing rubber (with glue or clip on)
• Installing lock cylinders, door holders, trays, shelves, and tailgates
• Installing doors, fenders, and tailgates
• Installing bumpers, hitches, ladder racks and windows
• Wiring of the utility bodies to the engineering specifications
• Wiring of truck chassis to the engineering specifications
• Making and installing of hydraulic hoses to engineering specifications
• Mounting of the utility bodies to engineering specifications
• Installing of any options to engineering specifications
• Responsible for quality of product going to yard
• Responsible for tools required to use (air tools, torch, hand tools, tape measure, glue, tape)
• Perform all Safety and Housekeeping duties
• Other duties as requested, directed or assigned by the Supervisor

Requirements:
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required as well as ability to read, write, and speak English in order to understand written and verbal instructions and document completion of work
• Organizational skills and ability to multi-task
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while exhibiting professional behavior
• Decision making capabilities – ability to make decisions and solve problems
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all company personnel, vendors and customers
• Ability to read, understand and follow blue prints
• One year of sheet metal experience or related experience preferred

F – Frequently (34-65% of the time)
O – Occasionally (< 33% of the time)

Work Environment: This position operates in a plant environment of noise, dust, odors, and fumes. Possible exposure to any number of elements, but none present to the extent of being disagreeable. Excessive heat in the summer time.

Physical Demands: This is a full-time position. Must be willing to work overtime as scheduled and required.
