The Salvation Army's Adult Rehabilitation Centers make a difference in people's lives. Through the collection and resale of gently used goods we are able to provide the financial support to assist men and women with a variety of social and spiritual afflictions. The in-residence rehabilitation program focuses on basic necessities with every man or woman being provided a clean and healthy living environment, good food, work therapy, leisure time activities, group and individual counseling, and spiritual direction. The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Dispatcher to coordinate routes and use the triangle system to keep record of location and production of all vehicles.
Responsibilities
The Dispatcher will coordinate all pick-up routes, assisting with proper routing of pick-up orders, tracking and filing of all pick-up tickets, re-routing trucks as directed, and assist on phones as needed. The Dispatcher will be responsible to report any vehicle issues (breakdown, accident, flat tire, etc.) immediately and to maintain completed call records and reports for determining trends and productivity and send to supervisor daily.
QualificationsThe successful candidate will preferably have a high school diploma or equivalent, or relevant experience, be familiar with two-way radio, codes, and operation, have experience in routing and transportation procedures, and have excellent communication skills.
