The in-residence rehabilitation program focuses on basic necessities with every man or woman being provided a clean and healthy living environment, good food, work therapy, leisure time activities, group and individual counseling, and spiritual direction. The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Warehouse Coordinator to oversee all warehouse and dock operations and maintain safety on the dock.
Responsibilities Oversee all warehouse and dock operations, maintaining order and safety in the warehouse and dock for all items being loaded or unloaded.
Supervise operation of forklift as necessary, being sure operators observe all safety regulations. Supervise operation of scales and proper recording of weights.
Supervise and oversee Beneficiary on Baler and all baling operations.
Direct all incoming material to proper staging areas being sure saleable items are not thrown away.
Oversee all personnel, paid and unpaid, holding staff accountable for appropriate behavior and language on dock.
Supervise the loading and unloading of all ARC trucks and Certified Collection Center (CCC) units and loading of bale trucks.
Give particular attention to supervising and giving guidance to beneficiaries on work therapy assignment in the warehouse and dock.
Handle duties of Production/General Supervisor in their absence.
This position will support the work therapy program component of The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Centers by providing to beneficiaries; an example of professional conduct, work habits, and supervision (as directed by Supervisor).
Other duties as may be assigned by immediate supervisor and/or Administrator for Business.
Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent.
Excellent communication skills.
Two (2) years transportation, warehouse, and/or loading dock experience.
