Arcade Technician

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Arcade Technician assists all aspects of Uncle Buck’s Fishbowl including but not limited to bowling, bumper cars, ropes course, go card track, arcade and other activities. The primary responsibility is to ensure that the areas overseen provide our guests with a safe and enjoyable experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Cleans and maintains bowling alley, machines, and equipment per manufactures recommendations.Cleans and maintains arcade fixtures and equipment.Cleans and maintains bumper car equipment per manufactures recommendations.Cleans and maintains any other equipment as necessary.Troubles shoot mechanical and electrical components.Performs preventative maintenance and general building maintenance.Maintains and performs daily, weekly, monthly checklists for maintenance and repair.Reports and maintains equipment defects for proper warranty repair and handling.ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or equivalent

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY

Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorilyMust be able to safely work from a ladderMust be able to use common hand tools SAE and MetricFamiliar with multi-meter, electrical parts, hand tools and soldering ironsFollow instructions and work well with others, also work well unsupervisedStrong mechanical skills and some electronics knowledgePossess good communication skills as they will be interacting with guest and their familiesAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsAbility to speak effectively before groups of guests or employees of organizationAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization existsAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formWorks well with a team, to prioritize, a sense of urgency and a real concern for guest satisfaction

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Physical Demands –While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment - While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Arcade flashing lights exposure.

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:

Performs tasks and duties under direct supervision, using well-defined policies and procedures. Work is reviewed by supervisor. Limited opportunity exists for exercising independent judgment and decision making.
