This is a temporary position meant to provide career development and technical training to a student who is interested in gaining on-the-job experience. The student intern will work with a team of archaeologists under the direction of a senior archaeologist/Field Director to perform field tasks, including shoveling, screening, and sorting of archaeological materials.  Qualifications Currently in pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology/Archaeology. Hawaiʻi or other Pacific Island experience is strongly preferred. Must have own transportation with a satisfactory driving record. Must complete a background check. Must complete a pre-employment physical to ensure fitness for duty. Ability to work well with and as part of a team, especially during hot field conditions.  The responsibilities and expectations for this position include, but are not limited to: Candidates must be able and willing to work outdoors for extended periods under all weather conditions (especially high heat and humidity), sometimes in rugged terrain and conditions. Ability to learn how to perform basic archaeological field tasks. Ability to learn how to recognize archaeological resources in the field. Communicate efficiently both verbally and in written form and have attention to detail. Help maintain a safe work environment.  Move Forward with KleinfelderKleinfelder has been connecting great people to the best work since 1961.
