The ideal candidate is a natural designer with good leadership and communication skills. Candidate will work closely with the Senior Architect and will also partner with Project Managers to ensure design intent is met from SD through CA phases.
Responsibilities
Commercial/Institutional detail project-specific designs.
Lead the conceptualization and development of projects across scales.
Proficient in Revit modeling and detailing.
Forge dialogues across disciplines.
Perform site evaluations and documentation.
Craft narratives, reports, and technical documents.
Construction administration processes.
Direct and inspire junior professionals.
Cultivate client relationships.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
A minimum of 5 years within the AEC industry.
A Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Architecture from NAAB accredited institution within last 7 years.
Candidates moving towards Architectural registration, or those already registered, are highly favored.
Desirable Attributes:
Demonstrates a continuous pulse on industry innovation concerning space, function, and materials.
Well-rounded portfolio of skills is preferred, including Sketch-Up and Adobe Creative Suite/Bluebeam.
Time management and organization aptitude.
Track record of team coordination in contract document preparation.
Possesses compelling communication skills, graphically, verbally, and in written form.
A positive mindset.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
Weather: Indoors - environmentally controlled; requires most or all work to be done inside occasional site visits will be required following all federal/state/client safety requirements.
Noise level: The noise level in the work environment is usually that of a standard office atmosphere.
Description of environment: Office building with standard office environment.
Physical requirements: Employee is required to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands/fingers to handle or feel, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk/hear, see, taste/smell, and carry weight/lift.
Travel: Employee may travel to remote areas and may be required to use alternative modes of transportation, including but not limited to snow machines, boats, small airplanes and ATVs.
