Architect - Data Strategy and Governance
Position Description:

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Data Architect to lead our Data Strategy, Data Governance, and Data Management consulting initiatives. In this role, you will work closely with clients to design, implement, and optimize data management frameworks that align with business goals. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in data governance, data architecture, and strategy development, coupled with a strong consulting mindset and the ability to deliver data-driven solutions across various industries.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

- Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive data strategies for clients, aligning with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Architect data governance frameworks, ensuring compliance, data quality, and security across the organization.
- Provide thought leadership in data management, including data lifecycle management, metadata management, and master data management (MDM).
- Design scalable, future-proof data architectures, leveraging cloud platforms and modern data management technologies.
- Engage with clients to assess their current data environments, identify gaps, and develop tailored roadmap, solutions to address challenges.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, legal, and business stakeholders, to ensure holistic data governance practices.
- Lead data governance initiatives, including policy development, data stewardship programs, and compliance audits.
- Provide hands-on guidance in building data management solutions, integrating best practices in data strategy and governance.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and regulations in data management and governance.
- Evaluate and implement data governance tools and technologies suitable for managing digital data, monitoring their effectiveness, and making necessary adjustments, while staying abreast of emerging trends, regulations and advancements in data governance technologies.
- Mentor junior consultants and contribute to knowledge sharing across the organization.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in data science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in data management and at least 2 years in data architecture, or data governance roles.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing data strategies and governance frameworks in consulting environments.
- In-depth knowledge of data management best practices, including DAMA DMBOK, data governance principles, and compliance frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
- Strong experience with data architecture concept, tools and technologies, including cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), databases, and ETL pipelines.
- Expertise in data quality management, metadata management, and MDM tools.
- Familiarity with ISO/IEC 38505:2017 /23894/38507, data privacy, security standards, and risk management practices.
- Ability to communicate complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate ambiguity in fast-paced consulting environments.
- Excellent client-facing consulting and communication skills, with experience managing large data transformation projects.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in Data Governance (e.g., CDMP, DGSP) or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Experience with data management tools like Collibra, Informatica, Talend, or similar.
- Familiarity with data modeling tools (e.g., ER/Studio, SAP Power Designer).
- Experience in data-driven industries such as Manufacturing, Retail, Telecommunications and Government organizations
