As a Squad Manager, you’ll be in charge of a multidisciplinary team we call squad. You will have a unique opportunity to join and impact the foundation of a new empowered team by hiring and building the team. You’ll be managing and mentoring the squad developers, responsible for the squad’s execution and quality, and taking an active part in hands-on design and development for new product offerings within our portfolio.
Job Responsibilities :
● Lead, Manage, and mentor a multidisciplinary and autonomous squad of 2-4 engineers (mobile & BE background)
● Be in charge of the squad’s execution velocity and quality, move squad features forward,, update progress, raise flags and unblock others
● Work closely with the squad’s product manager and design and act as the bridge connecting them to the engineering team
● Work closely with customer's project lead and other development teams making sure to provide an end-to-end solution
● Hands-on development of the squad features, development mainly in the Backend (Go-lang) SaaS platform
● Become the bridge between the customer's R&D core teams to the USTPE team, Be an ambassador for the customer's product-engineering way of work while making the necessary adaptations.
Job Requirement:
● At least 6 years in software development
● At least 3 years in backend development working in a modern BE development environment (SaaS, CI/CD, Docker)
● Experience in leading the Software Design Process
● Experience understanding and working on distributed microservices architecture
● At least 3 years of experience in managing a team of 3-5 people
● Proven experience in leading big initiatives/projects with MVP & Agile Mindset
● Experience in a modern execution process, working in short sprints, CI/CD, testing automation and quality
● Advantage - Leading mobile development teams before
