Job Description
Our client has an immediate position available in its Orlando office for an Architect/ Project Manager who is looking to join a creative, collaborative team of Architects, Engineers, Planners, Interior Designers, and Landscape Architects.
This person will support a variety of project types, including theme parks, hospitality, and airports. They will provide overall management direction for existing and new projects, and supervise team members. This person will establish project budgets, objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards. They will initiate and maintain liaison with clients and A/E contracts to facilitate construction activities. The PM will monitor/control construction through the administrative direction of the on-site Construction Manager, to ensure the project is built on time and within budget; investigate potentially serious situations, and implement corrective measures. They will attend project meetings and assist in strategy meetings. The PM will manage the financial aspects of contracts (fee payment, rental equipment, income/expenses, etc.) to protect the company's interest and simultaneously maintain a good relationship with the client.
Duties:
Direct project team, ensure client compliance with contract terms and monitor sub-consultants’ compliance with contractual commitments.Meet with clients to direct project requirements and obtain all information to prepare project documents.Has primary responsibility for scheduling, planning, design, specification, and working drawings on a given project with authority to direct, control, organize, interpret, and monitor all activities.Prepare project work plan, schedule, and budget, and communicate these to project team members; monitor/manage project production for compliance with schedule, budget, and quality objectives.Monitor reports and schedules to ensure appropriate charging of man-hours, costs, and expenses to projects, and to communicate project progress/status to management.Monitor sub-consultants' progress and performance; review and approve sub-consultant and vendor invoices.Schedule and coordinate project meetings with the project team, regulatory agencies, the client, and others involved with the projectCoordinate and participate in project presentations to clients and other external groups, and promote the firm’s capabilities, marketing its services among existing and prospective clientsSupervise technical professionals and design staff.Qualifications:
Must have, at minimum, a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture; Master’s Degree a plusMust have Architectural or NCARB registration (preferably Florida, or the ability to obtain Florida registration quickly).10+ years of experience in Architectural project managementLEED accreditation preferredMust be proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and Sketchup 5+ yearsAdvanced-level competency in Microsoft Office SuiteEmployer Value:
