As an Sr. Architect, you will join the Global Technology Strategy and Architecture (GTSA) team and support Global Business Service and Enterprise Technology Service portfolio. Global Business Service is a collection of business areas with enterprise-wide responsibilities that impact all of Capital Group: (1) Global Finance; (2) Human Resources; (3) Legal and Compliance; (4) Global Communications; (5) Global Risk Management; (6) Office Services; and (7) the Enterprise Change Office. Enterprise Technology Services covers IT for IT and Collaboration technology Services.
You will partner with business. IT delivery team, and other solution architects to influence and define strategic technology direction, target state solutions, and develop product roadmaps. Capital Group Leadership are expecting GTSA to define target state architecture that can scale and support our business growth on a global scale. As an Architect Senior your responsibilities include:
You will build end to end solution blueprints that are centered on business outcomes, drive overall solution heath, and aim to advance and innovate our technologies across strategic vendor (SaaS) and custom solutions.You will develop an in-depth understanding of the ecosystem supporting Capital Group’s corporate capabilities, be able to articulate solution options, evaluate tradeoffs and influence key decisions.You will lead and develop architectural point of views to drive decisions and discussions at various Architectural Review Boards and other governance bodies as needed.You will help ensure that Global Business Service application teams are developing solutions consistent with architectural principles, technology standards and best practices.You will engage closely with your IT & GTSA partners, you will work on increasing adoption of Enterprise Standards and Architecture Design Principles to support Cloud adoption and increase our ecosystem resilience.You will identify opportunities for process rationalization, automation, and data driving decision making.You will have responsibility for mentoring, coaching, motivating, and influencing embedded architects and other solution engineers to strengthen our bench and increase our fungibility.“I am the person Capital Group is looking for.”
You have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field.You have 5+ years of hands-on software development and architecture experience.You have 2 year minimum with or are well- aware of technologies such as: AWS cloud platforms/technologies, data storage (SQL and No-SQL), data lake technologies and AI/ML experience.You have 2 year minimum expertise that extends to data management, data modeling, information architecture and integration patterns/technologies.You have 3 year minimum engaging business partners in a consultative manner and turning business concepts into well-designed technology solutions.Experience with SAP, Workday, Service Now, or other large vendor products in managing corporate capabilities is a plus.
Southern California Base Salary Range: $153,965-$246,344
In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
