Architectural Associate

A mid-sized Architecture firm in Chicago is looking to add Architectural Staff members to their team!

Job Description:

Will work on AutoCAD construction documents 50% of the time and process shop drawings, submittals and RFI’s for projects the other 50%Will have site visits for construction administration as well as client contact Will be mainly be helping out with prototypical financial projects for the time being but will move over to other retail/commercial projects afterProtoypial=standards are set to work within - will be working within a corporate templateWill be working on projects from start to finish within AutoCADWill be mostly working remote and work under other remote employees- consistent communication is a high priorityProduce construction documents/drawings with knowledge of interior alteration projects and office build outs or retail projectsWill be working on a team and working under the main client contact - this person would be working on CDs, coordinating details and finishesWill have working knowledge of detailing as it relates to interior alterations, framing details, wall partitions, ADA requirements for clear floor space, ADA accessibility building codes, general material/specifications, shop drawings & submittalsThe design work of projects would be prepared for by others - there may be some opportunity for CA work (might do some site visits or OAC meetings), but right now there is no need for that and the client is handling it directlyWill be working in a smaller office on a small team - must be able to wear a lot of hats, jump onto different projects & tasks as they develop

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in ArchitectureDegree must be accredited in the United States3+ years of post-graduate experiencePost-graduate: This does not inlude internship experience or experience outside of US standardMust be proficient in AutoCADExperience with prototypical commercial projects is a plusMust be immediately local to the Chicagoland areaThis position is fully remote but must be able to attend monthly meetings and site visits as neededMust have valid work authorizationAbout Actalent
