Job Title: Architectural AssociateJob Description

We are hiring an Architectural Associate to join our team in Royal Oak, MI. This person will get to work within an established Architecture & Interior Design firm, with a collaborative, energetic environment that emphasizes the professional development of all staff members. Projects vary in size and focus, including (but not limited to) Office Renovations, Mix-Used Developments, High-End Residential, and Commercial Property. This person will get to contribute to all phases of Design from Conceptualization through Construction. This Associate will not be pigeon-holed into one project type or size, but rather will have the opportunity to work on the full variety while developing their skills.

ResponsibilitiesDesign & Documentation: Assist in the development of design concepts, schematic designs, and construction documents for commercial and multi-family projects.Revit Modeling: Use Revit to create detailed 3D models, floor plans, elevations, and construction documentation.Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, senior architects, and engineers to coordinate and ensure the integrity of designs across disciplines.Code Compliance: Assist in researching and applying building codes, zoning laws, and other regulatory requirements for each project.Client Interaction: Participate in client meetings and presentations, ensuring design ideas align with client needs and expectations.Quality Control: Review and ensure that all drawings and documentation are accurate, complete, and meet firm standards.Construction Administration: Support the construction phase by assisting with site visits, RFIs (Requests for Information), and reviewing shop drawings.Essential SkillsBachelors in Architecture or someone almost done completing their bachelorsProficiency in Revit1-5 years of experienceExperience with construction documentsEnjoyment of the technical architecture space, not just designBasic understanding of building codes, accessibility standards (ADA), and zoning lawsAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with commercial or multi-family projectsFamiliarity with other design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Adobe Creative SuiteExperience working on franchise projects (retail, small business, etc.)Experience with PowerPoint, Illustrator, and/or PhotoshopWork Environment

The office hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM with every Friday being a half day. The office environment is family-friendly, collaborative, fast-paced, and energetic. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $36.00
