Position Summary
Manage and implement projects that enhance our window or door products and/or design and utilize Pella's continuous improvement and problem solving methodology to improve our manufacturing processes. Responsibilities will be similar to what we expect of entry-level engineers who join Pella after graduating. Focus on developing competencies, engineering skills and how/when to apply them. Work closely with assigned manager/mentor on strategic projects and focused developmental opportunities.
Areas of Opportunity Include:
Insynctive Product Engineer
Modify products to improve performance, decrease manufacturing costs, and/or improve customer satisfaction
Experience with research and mechatronics and an interest in Electronics or RF(Radio Frequency) Engineering is a plus
Circuit, hardware or electronics design, build and/or troubleshooting
Product conceptualization, prototypes, testing, evaluation, and implementation
Degrees preferred: Computer Engineer, Electrical and Mechanical
Manufacturing Process Engineer
Modify & improve manufacturing processes to improve quality, increase reliability, reduce costs, and eliminate waste
Develop next generation manufacturing processes and equipment
Specify, design, and procure equipment required to support new product initiatives
Implement new processes in manufacturing from concept through full production
Degrees preferred: Mechanical, Agricultural, Industrial Technology and Manufacturing Engineer
Advanced Product Technology Engineer
Modify products to improve performance, decrease manufacturing costs, and/or improve customer satisfaction
Application of materials within products and processes
Project management delivering ideas into concepts for design implementation
Create the window of the future
Drafter
· Evaluate projects and installation systems for quality, efficiency, performance and product suitability.
· Modify and improve drafting processes and tools to improve quality, increase reliability, reduce costs, and eliminate waste.
· Creating and revising dynamic blocks using constraints and visibility states.
· Converting CAD files from various formats to AutoCAD.
· Manage and organize CAD libraries.
· Work in the AutoCAD CUI to improve customized interface.
· Leverage API/Macros to provide additional efficiency for drafters.
Degrees preferred: Chemical, Material Science, and Mechanical EngineerProduct Application/Architectural, Construction Engineer & CAD
