The estimated base salary range for this role is “$100,000 to $140,000” per year.  
Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience and other relevant factors (salary may be adjusted based on geographic location)

Armstrong World Industries, Inc. (AWI) has a job opportunity to join the NYC Metro sales team as an Architectural & Design Sales Manager.  Reporting to the Regional Specification Manager, the Architectural & Design Sales Manager interacts with architects, designers, consultants, owners, and facility managers to influence the specification of Armstrong Commercial Ceiling, Wall and Specialty Systems.  Working together with other members of the sales team, this role is responsible for meeting or exceeding the sales budget regarding price, volume, and mix to drive improved business results.

What You’ll Do 

Carrying out the Territory Plan to achieve sales goals and grow the business. Promoting new and existing products to architects, designers, consultants, owners, and facility managers for consideration on commercial construction projects. Assisting architects and designers in writing specifications for Armstrong Commercial Ceilings, Suspension Systems, Architectural Specialties, and wall systems. Identifying and tracking projects in Salesforce through Bid phase and passing along to other members of the sales team to close work with distributors and contactors. Growing the business and increasing market share by creating customer value and competitive advantage. Learning and continuously improving through individual and team learning and development initiatives.

 

What will make you successful 

Demonstrated ability and experience to effectively manage multiple relationships and priorities Ability and experience to plan effectively, both short and long term Working knowledge and experience with construction, contracting, and distribution Proficiency with computer software, including Microsoft Windows applications.  Salesforce experience a plus. Knowledge of specification sales, market segments, customers, and distribution channels Proven success in architectural selling Strong work ethic, desire to learn, and coachable

 

Qualifications

 

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Science or related field 3+ years of architectural sales experience within building materials, commercial construction, or similar industry 

 

Location:

The ideal candidate will live in New York City or within an easily commutable distance to NYC from Long Island, Northern New Jersey, or Lower Hudson Valley.
