Architectural Designer
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY – ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNER Tecton Architects has an immediate opening in our Providence, RI studio for an Architectural Designer.  The ideal candidate would be an emerging professional with a background in architecture who is passionate about creating a positive impact through design. Applicants should demonstrate an interest in working in a collaborative environment, have a strong design sense with technical grounding, and be able to contribute to the creative process.  This is a full-time, hybrid position, with employees splitting the work week between our Providence studio and remote work. Responsibilities: You will be an integral part of each project as you work closely with the entire team to deliver thoughtful, quality and conscientious work for our clients. Responsibilities will include: + Collaborating on and contributing to project design development, documentation, and construction administration. + Performing daily design, BIM modeling, programming, and technical development of a project. + Investigating, evaluating, and recommending design solutions that best meet client needs. + Independently applying architectural design concepts and producing materials to convey those concepts to the team, client and contractor. Qualifications: + A Bachelor's Degree in Architecture is required. Licensure is not required. + 2-5 years of experience in a professional setting are required. Internships and other work placement programs will satisfy this requirement. Sustainability accreditation is preferred. + The ideal candidate will be fluent in design technology software, specifically REVIT. A minimum of 2 years of experience using Revit in an academic or professional setting is required. Advanced Revit knowledge is preferred. + A portfolio that demonstrates a high level of skill in design thinking and presentation media is required.
