Role description:

Arcadis seeks a summer intern to join the Educational Practice team, located in Houston, Texas.  This position collaborates with a diverse and creative team, dedicated to excellence in design and innovative problem solving. The ideal candidate for this position will be interested in learning more about the architectural industry by participating in a mentorship training program.

This role sits within the Places: Architecture and Urbanism (A&U) group. In Places we work with our clients around the world to create, support, and enhance smart, safe and sustainable places where people live, work, learn and thrive. Places impact on the quality of people’s lives. Whether new homes, shops, workplaces, schools and hospitals, manufacturing, research and development facilities, or data and distribution centers. Role accountabilities:

The ideal candidate is self-motivated and eager to learn, demonstrating a proactive approach to personal and professional development. As a reliable team player, they excel at building strong relationships, contributing ideas, and working effectively with others to achieve shared goals.

Shadow architectural Project Manager(s) and teammates to understand the design process and required deliverables. Participates in job site visits and field observations. Assists the interior design project team. Assists the marketing team. Assists with drawing production/detailing. Attend project meetings with team members. Collaborates with other professionals to ensure design and documentation meet project expectations

Qualifications & Experience:

Required:

Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in architecture or related design field.

Preferred:

Knowledge of REVIT

Arcadis offers benefits for part-time, as needed positions. These benefits include EAP, 401K, and optional well being benefits. The salary range for this position is $18.30 - $32.30 / per hour. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
