The Real Estate Development position is responsible for the creation and execution of effective, data driven, strategic real estate plans across the portfolio of assets with their local region. The role will support the corporate business needs for managing the real estate portfolio evaluating and providing recommendations on management of the current assets, analysis of potential necessary new acquisitions, and divestment or redevelopment strategies, including collaborating on all real estate transactions. A building by building and site by site roadmap will be developed and maintained providing a short term and long term strategy to guide in capitol funding allocations. The role will work closely with other stakeholders during pre-construction to develop and refine a comprehensive project scope of work in alignment with the overarching real estate strategies and corporate initiatives. This role may also engage in specific implementation strategies around real estate partnerships, employee experience and campus offerings, and real estate marketing and leasing models. **Job Responsibilities:** + Oversee strategic planning for all real estate portfolio assets and property types through a short term and long term business strategy model. + Develop and utilize individual facility roadmaps to advise on facility investments based on long-term strategic utilization and Facility Condition Index (FCI) + Collaborate with key SME’s to develop comprehensive pre-construction scoping and advanced project alignment to better align capital planner funding and project calendarization. + Coordinate with real estate transaction team to enhance the global facility database including key site information as well as core market data around NBV, marketability, Opp Ex, etc. + Advise the real estate transaction team on site selection and transaction terms for alignment with corporate real estate and facility experience initiatives. + Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for real estate redevelopment opportunities that support emerging business needs and improve facility and/or campus operations. + Utilize data to analyze the real estate portfolio, seeking alternative strategies to optimize the assets through different ownership models, property classifications, consolidations or co-locations. + Manage Ford’s divested real estate interests through the ongoing governance of restrictive covenants and indentures. + Engage and advise on non-Ford regional development as necessary to protect the interest of Ford Motor Company and leverage external incentives. **Job Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in real estate development, urban planning, architecture, or construction development. + Minimum 5 years of work experience with a Master’s degree or 8 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in fields of architecture, real estate development, project management or commercial construction. **Licenses and Certifications:** · Real Estate Salesperson License or Broker License (Preferred) **Work Requirements:** This role has regional coverage responsibilities and as such may require travel (Domestic & International) as a part of this position to evaluate and support sites outside of the assigned work location.
