Architectural Service Specialist

This position is in the Tremco Commercial Sealants and Waterproofing Division with a focus on the Dryvit business segment and covers the Greater Toronto area.  You must live in the territory to be considered. Dryvit cladding, continuous insulation and exterior wall panels enable any aesthetic —stone, masonry, metal, terracotta, brick— with built-in energy efficiency and fast, easy installation.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: 

The Architectural Services Specialist role is to provide educational support to the design community with a focus on architectural services, including, but not limited to specifications for Dryvit Façade products. This position will will focus on supporting the business in the Greater Toronto Area.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:   

Identify and cultivate potential accounts within the architectural design community through networking, referrals, and industry sourcing. Provide comprehensive education on Tremco's Dryvit Facade Products and services, guiding clients to select the best solutions for both their current and future project needs. Serve as the main point of contact for clients, addressing and resolving any concerns, while providing ongoing service to maintain strong relationships. Work closely with internal teams to ensure that client feedback and project requirements are communicated effectively to enhance product development and service quality. Complete necessary administrative tasks such as preparing reports, maintaining detailed documentation, and managing correspondence related to accounts and projects. Works collaboratively with internal support resources to develop teamwork through cooperation, trust and mutual respect.  Attends and presents business unit products and services at industry conventions and trade shows.  Maintains extensive product knowledge in all product lines and service offerings.  Adheres to and enforces all company policies, pricing, and operational procedures with special attention to the professional image of the company. 

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Architectural Design, Construction Management and 2-3 years of construction or industry experience OR  Minimum High School Diploma or GED with 5 years of construction design or industry experience 

EXPERIENCE 

Four to ten years of related experience and/or training in the construction industry. A minimum of two years of customer service experience is preferred Construction knowledge (i.e., EIFS, waterproofing, air barriers, framing, modular, etc.) Assembly line related product segments Basic knowledge of product chemistries Insulated Concrete Forms knowledge/experience a plus

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:  

Is responsible for selling intangible items (cognitive selling) and the ability to influence potential customers from the design industry (architectural)  Performs multiple activities which require interaction with coworkers in other departments or divisions and requires awareness of related activities Ability to travel extensively within assigned territory.  Must be well organized, self-motivated, with outstanding written and verbal communication skills   Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)  Salesforce.com or other CRM software experience preferred  Possess a professional curiosity to figure out how things work or are put together  Ability to retain knowledge and training  Proven ability to understand, use, and manage your own emotions in positive ways to relieve stress, communicate effectively, empathize with others, overcome challenges and diffuse conflict.   Demonstrates self-awareness and emotional self-control through adaptability, achievement orientation, and a positive outlook.   Accepts and utilizes feedback effectively.  Reads an audience and adjust style and approach accordingly.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills  Strong presentations skills  Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills  Ability to build relationships and deliver exceptional customer service. 

BENEFITS AND COMPENSATION:

The salary range for applicants in this position generally ranges between $76,110.00 and $95,130.00 plus a performance based incentive bonus. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operations, needs, and other considerations permitted by law.
