Job Title: Architectural Specifications Content Writer/Editor
Job Description

We are seeking an Architectural Specifications Content Writer/Editor to join our firm. If you have an interest in translating architectural drawings into written instructions for product procurement and installation, and you have the winning combination of architectural training, construction product knowledge, and technical/grammatical writing skills necessary for success in this role, we want to hear from you!• Develop and maintain architectural specifications for various project types, ensuring clarity and accuracy.• Collaborate with architects, designers, engineers, and construction teams to integrate material selections and technical requirements into project specs.• Review construction documents for compliance with codes, standards, and project requirements.• Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers to ensure up-to-date product and material information.• Assist in managing project deliverables to meet schedules and milestones.• Conduct product research and stay current with industry trends, materials, and technologies.• Ensure project specs align with sustainability goals and LEED certification requirements when applicable.

Hard Skills3+ years’ experience writing commercial architectural specificationsFamiliarity with sustainable design practices (LEED accreditation is a plus)Knowledge of construction processes, materials, and building codesProficiency in software tools like MasterSpec and BluebeamSoft SkillsStrong attention to detailExcellent written communication skillsJob Type

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Work Environment

M-Friday in office, ability to work from home Fridays or bring in your dog to the office on Fridays.
