Architecture Governance, VP

What we are looking for:

The Architecture Governance VP is a technical leader who ensures PaaS & SaaS adoption and management follows strategic alignment against business priorities effectively managing our cloud portfolio across the enterprise. In this role you will be responsible for implementing PaaS & SaaS governance polices to the organization and monitoring compliance. You will document and govern consistent and structured processes to identify, categorize, monitor, and apply uniform controls to these platforms.

The role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding and hands on experience of engineering principles, industry best practices, regulatory and control activities, and with a proven track record of the successful design and implementation of IT strategies. The Architecture Governance VP will leverage their experience to architect governance strategies to support cross-functional policy, standard and controls across all lines of business within the State Street Enterprise.

Responsibilities include:

Lead the overall Cloud governance strategy aligned with the organization’s business objectives and goalsMonitor for unregistered SaaS applications and implement SSPM scanning of external connections and correlating those endpoints to the inventory of SaaS applications Collaborate with key stakeholders (i.e. Third Party Risk Management, Cybersecurity, etc.) to incorporate and manage related governance processesMaintain and report on registered PaaS and SaaS application inventoryAnalyze data and process maps related to current SaaS application governance and quality assurance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement in the governance frameworkConduct interviews, workshops, and survey sessions with stakeholders to gather detailed requirements for the SaaS and PaaS governance processesDevelop detailed process maps and flowcharts to visualize the steps involved in the enhanced governance process and monitoring of SaaS applications, helping to identify any potential bottlenecks or inefficienciesManage activities to perform lookback quality assurance on the existing SaaS/PaaS applicationsDevelop and manage key performance indicators and metrics to measure the effectiveness of the implemented governance processes and to monitor ongoing compliancePartner with global cybersecurity and compliance teams to ensure practices align with policyDevelop and manage related enterprise controls and enhance with specific PaaS/SaaS controls as needed to meet our security and operational standards

Education & Required Qualifications

B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline10+ years of experience providing technology solutions and/or architecture governanceExperience with Visio or other flowchart software to develop process maps and flowchartExpert in data analysis, familiarity with software like Tableau and Excel for analyzing dataExperience with PowerBI or related toolsSkilled at explaining technical concepts in a clear and concise mannerStrong stakeholder management, skilled in managing and communicating with stakeholders from various teams such as Risk and Cyber Risk Management, Architecture and Engineering

Salary Range:

$140,000 - $222,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
